Agra College enjoys the privilege of being the oldest institution of learning in North India . It was founded in 1823 A.D. with the pioneering efforts of the noted Sanskrit Scholar and astrologer Pandit Gangadhar Shastri. The institution functioned as Government College till 1883.There after; its management was handed over to a Board of Trustees and a Committee of Management, both approved by the Government.

Faculty of Engineering & Technology

In keeping with its commitment to academic excellence and continuous development, Agra College , Agra added another feather to its cap in 1999 with the establishment of Faculty of Engineering and Technology. 

The Faculty of Engineering & Technology is duly recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi . Ministry of H.R.D. Govt. of India , and affiliated to U.P. Technical University , Lucknow .

The Faculty is ahead of the standards and parameters with respect to engineering education as laid down by AICTE.
